During check-in for a dinner reservation at restaurant in Nashville, my friend James happened to mention to the maître d’ that I was the inventor of Pound Puppies. She about lost it with excitement as she eagerly pulled out her phone and showed me a picture of her beloved Pound Puppies from her childhood surrounding her adorable “real” dog in the middle of the pile. I love both the real ones and the plush ones and have come to the realization that humans are not the only ones who love Pound Puppies…real pups do too!
